What is the GolfBoard?
The GolfBoard is the most innovative addition to golf since the graphite shaft, bringing modern technology to a traditional game.
The GolfBoard will change the way you experience the game of golf. The easy to ride electric board makes getting from one shot to the next just as fun as hitting a great drive or approach shot. The GolfBoard speeds up the game, is easy and intuitive for everyone to ride, has less impact on a course than a golf cart, and allows golfers to surf the golf course in a way that feels similar to snowboarding, surfing or skateboarding.
With a compact size of 50" x 20" x 10", the GolfBoard requires very little space to be stored and charged. Unlike a golf cart the GolfBoard can be loaded into your trunk with your golf clubs easily.
Controlling the 4WD GolfBoard is easy and intuitive; step on the board, grab the lightweight ergonomic controller and go! The wireless hand-held controller directs the board’s acceleration and braking, while the rider’s motion guides the steering.

GolfBoard Surfs The Earth To Orlando For PGA Merchandise Show
3 Ways to Ride
Bag Mount + Stability Handle
This system allows riders to use the GolfBoard just like a standard pull/push golf cart but there is a twist…… you get to ride this one! The bag mount/stability handle provides ample storage space for golf gear, snacks, and refreshments. The GolfBoard’s low center of gravity means you'll never have to worry about your board/bag tipping over and the stability handle gives even the most inexperienced riders confidence.
Throw your golf bag over your shoulder and hop on. Conventional golf carts sacrifice exercise for convenience, but carrying your bag as you ride the GolfBoard engages your core and balance transforming golf into a full body workout. The Classic Carry method allows you to travel at the speed of a golf cart so your game isn't slowed down.
Free Ride Using a Single Universal Adjustable Club
A single club with an adjustable head angle is becoming a popular alternative to a traditional set of clubs. The GolfBoard supports this new movement; one hand for the wireless Bluetooth remote, the other for your trusty club.
Free Ride Using GolfBoard’s Divnick ‘Whole-In-One’ Universal Adjustable Club
Want an easy way to get started using GolfBoard and have fun playing golf? Carrying a single universal adjustable golf club is a great way to enjoy the freedom of golf while experiencing the GolfBoard. You could pay up to $1,000 for a full set of clubs to tote around, or you can take advantage of the freedom and simplicity that comes with our all-in-one adjustable club. It’s 34 clubs in one!
At only $199, you can’t afford NOT to get on a GolfBoard, tee one up, and Surf The Earth! Buy two and the price is even better at $179 each!
The GolfBoard has never-seen-before features on electric skateboards including:
4 Wheel Posi Traction
The GolfBoard is driven by a gear box similar to a car, rather than unreliable chains and belts. This never seen before feature on a board insures safety, reliability and low to no maintenance.
4 Wheel Posi Traction also guarantees traction on even the steepest hills, and eliminates “burnouts” on the golf course which would leave unsightly marks. The pounds per square inch of pressure on the turf is substantially less than that of a golf cart. This enables you to ride on the fairways even in “Cart Path Only” conditions without damaging the turf.
3.5" Turf Tires
Our GolfBoard uses tires that are 3.5" wide and 9" tall. With this large surface area and tread design, pressure on the turf is substantially less than that of a fully loaded golf cart, even in wet conditions.
The GolfBoard uses a 4 wheel drive posi-traction drivetrain. Housed on each end of the board are industrial grade gear boxes which provide power to all 4 wheels reliably and evenly. This never before seen feature of a powered golf device insures safety, smooth operation, and nearly zero maintenance requirements. Four-wheel-drive traction is guaranteed to provide solid transport even on the steepest hills, and eliminates ‘spinouts’ on the golf course which damages the grass. Turf professionals embrace the GolfBoard based on its low impact in relation to conventional golf carts.
The GolfBoard uses the highest quality industrial grade electric motors, drives, and on-board equipment to ensure complete reliability and long life. Built to handle high-power industrial applications, the motor controller on the GolfBoard provides the utmost in reliability. We’ve designed custom controller firmware to ensure ultimate control for each GolfBoard. As an added safety feature, the controller will automatically lock the GolfBoard’s wheels when you come to a stop. This provides you a stable structure to step off of, and won’t allow the GolfBoard to roll away if you come to a stop on a steep hill to play a tricky sidehill shot!
Using the wireless remote, GolfBoard riders have the ability to select either ‘high speed’ or ‘low speed’ modes of operation. Low speed, a gentle 7 mph, is designed to provide new users the ability to practice turning and operating the board with security and confidence. High Speed, a maximum of 11 mph, allows golfers to travel at the same speed as a conventional golf cart.
Power for the GolfBoard is provided by the same lithium batteries found in the latest luxury electric automobiles. Manufactured by a world leader in intelligent lithium battery design, the GolfBoard’s battery is at the leading edge of lightweight, long lasting and safe lithium battery technology. Providing ample power for climbing even the steepest hills, the GolfBoard’s battery also allows for fast recharging times between rounds.
In contrast, lead acid batteries in regular golf carts require tedious maintenance and full replacement after only 2-3 years. The GolfBoard’s battery is completely contained, requires zero maintenance, and last 3-5 times longer than their lead-acid counterparts. These factors result in a reduction of time and money spent on repairs and downtime, and an increase in time spent on the course providing revenue.
The GolfBoard can travel up to 36 holes between charges, depending on conditions such as rider weight, turf conditions and grade. The battery powerhouse is designed to give users confidence and is sized to carry a heavy rider (250+ pounds) over 18 holes on some of the longest and steepest courses in the world.
Ride Quality and Handling
The GolfBoard is the only board available with our proprietary "Spring Deck". By utilizing a flexible and adjustable spring plate on each end, the GolfBoard is the first powered board with a highly effective shock absorber, allowing for an extremely smooth ride.
The Spring deck gives the GolfBoard amazing suspension and flex, while still allowing for a secure and rigid mounting location for the lithium battery and industrial control electronics.
One of the most innovative features of our board is the rotary bi-directional steering damper. This damper eliminates speed wobbles completely and makes for a very stable and smooth ride. This single feature allows beginners to step on the board with confidence and enjoy balance and stability like a pro. The rotary damper is adjustable for different sized riders, allowing the GolfBoard to be tuned for each individual’s size and riding style.
Handheld Remote Control
The GolfBoard is controlled using an ergonomically designed wireless handheld remote, which allows the user to smoothly accelerate and decelerate, reverse direction, and power the GolfBoard on and off. The remote features an intelligent LED meter, providing details of when the GolfBoard battery needs to be recharged. The controller is specially designed to allow for intuitive, gentle and smooth acceleration and braking.
Golf Course Owners
The GolfBoard is the most innovative creation for the golf industry since the advent of the softspike.
In harnessing the newest technology in electric power, the GolfBoard will give your members and guests an option to experience your course like never before. Players can carry their bag just like they would if they were walking, or they can opt for the handle bar bag mount, which allows players to use the GolfBoard like a stand-up personal golf cart.
This extraordinary new way to traverse the golf course is sure to excite your membership, while at the same time generating new interest in golf to the next generation of golfers. The GolfBoard will provide players the feeling of golfing freedom that walking gives, while at the same time speeding up pace of play - a big problem at many courses today.
Aside from have less impact on your turf than a standard golf cart, the GolfBoard will require considerably less maintenance. Utilizing the latest in lithium-ion battery technology, the self-contained GolfBoard has fewer moving parts to break or wear out, resulting in more time carrying players on the course and increased revenue for you.
Golf Professionals and Golf Course Superintendents will love the GolfBoard too. We have made sure to make the GolfBoard as sustainable as possible to the environment they ride on. We incorporated 4WD technology to evenly distribute power to the GolfBoard's 9-inch turf tires, virtually eliminating ‘tire-spin’ and torn up turf - even on dewy mornings or damp conditions. And with sleek fenders covering all four wheels, golfing riders can play those wet-weather rounds without fear of mud or water splattering their clothes.
The GolfBoard also comes with built-in safety features, including an automatic parking brake that activates when a golfer steps off the board, and a fully enclosed drivetrain that protects hands and fingers from moving parts. Being such a new idea to the world of golf, we realize that safety and liability will be a concern for many golf courses. The GolfBoard should be covered by most courses, assuming they have adequate insurance, and a simple waiver like those used when renting golf carts should protect the course in the event of an injury.
Q: Why should I replace my carts with a fleet of GolfBoards if so much of our membership is older?
A: GolfBoards are a supplement to your golf carts, and will provide your club with an opportunity to bring in new membership and give you a competitive advantage over neighboring facilities. The GolfBoard is nothing like a traditional skateboard or snowboard. It is easy and intuitive to operate, and a lot more stable than first time riders might expect. We have seen older players who have no riding experience try the GolfBoard, and end up riding comfortably after just a few minutes of practice. GolfBoards also take up less space in between use, charge faster, and greatly reduce the maintenance costs compared to regular golf carts.
Q: Won't GolfBoards tear up the grass?
A: Not at all! GolfBoards use the same turf tires found on conventional golf course mowing equipment. The combined weight of the rider and GolfBoard is approximately 600 pounds less than that of a golf cart, greatly reducing soil compaction and turf stress.
Our boards use a proprietary 4 wheel-drive system allowing power to be distributed to all 4 wheels equally, reducing turf wear. The board’s smooth acceleration ensures a fluid increase in speed that won’t cause turf-damaging burnouts.
Q: What type of terrain/surfaces can these boards handle?
A: One of the great things about the GolfBoard is that is was designed to handle every type of terrain and surface you can throw under it! From steep grassy slopes and paved trails, to soft turf terrain and loose gravel. Not only will these boards handle these terrains, but their large turf tires will keep all of them in beautiful condition.
Q: What if a golfer has never ridden a skate/snow/surfboard before; will they be able to use the GolfBoard?
A: Absolutely! The beauty of the GolfBoard is that it was designed to be a high performance machine that is easy enough for anyone to use. Once riders position themselves on the board they use the small wireless controller to control the acceleration and braking, and by simply leaning side to side, they control the turning of the GolfBoard. The GolfBoard remote features a low/high speed switch, allowing beginner riders to practice and increase their confidence riding while in the low speed mode, traveling at a maximum of 6 mph. The optional stand-up bar/ bag holder provides an added point of stability that provides confidence and security to even the most inexperienced riders.
Q: How are the boards powered and charged?
A: The boards are powered by a compact 48 volt lithium battery pack, built into the base of the board. The lithium batteries used in GolfBoards are lighter, more powerful, and last for approximately 3x longer than traditional lead acid batteries with zero maintenance. Charging the boards takes approximately 1.5 hours, allowing the boards to spend more time out on the course. The cost for a full recharge is around $ 0.10. The batteries can be cycled (fully drained and charged) 1,000 times, giving the battery packs a life of approximately 3,500 rounds of golf!
Q: What are the financing and leasing options for GolfBoards?
A: We want to give all courses big and small alike a chance to carry our boards, which is why we offer a large variety of purchasing and leasing options, with financing available for most. If purchasing a fleet of GolfBoards isn’t for you, our leasing options range from long term to monthly, all with maintenance and warranty options. Our packages are catered to the specific needs of each golf course, so please contact us with your requirements and we can build a package just for you!
Q: What type of liability concerns do golf course owners have?
A: Liability is something that needs to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis with each courses’ insurance provider, but the GolfBoard should be treated very similar to renting golf carts. SolBoards Inc. has a comprehensive product liability policy for every GolfBoard sold, and will list your golf course as additional insured on our policy. We have developed a detailed safety training video, which all new riders will be required to watch prior to operating a GolfBoard. After viewing the safety video, patrons will be required to sign a liability release acknowledging that they understand the operation and safety principles.
Attention Golf Club Owners and Managers!
Our first GolfBoards will be rolling off the assembly line in December, and the more visible they become, the more people will want one for themselves or want their local club to offer them for rent.
We are building a database of clubs that will be ‘GolfBoard Friendly,’ so GolfBoard owners looking for a place to play can find them. GolfBoard Friendly Clubs will be listed on our website, and it will be very beneficial to you if your club is included. There is absolutely no obligation to join our growing list, and it will generate revenue that you may not have enjoyed otherwise!
Simply click the link below, fill in your club information, verify, and you’re done in less time that it takes a foursome to tee of on #1 !
