Sol Boards Goes Big - Introducing the ResortBoard

GolfBoard Just Gained a Big Brother

If it wasn't enough to just introduce the greatest product for golf since graphite shafts, Sol Boards, makers of the GolfBoard, have now introduced the ResortBoard, a higher-performance vehicle that adds a whole new dimension to personal transportation and mobility.

Designed for industrial, street and off-road use, ResortBoard boasts 13-inch wheels for greater ground clearance and more off-road capability, and a max speed tuning of 14 mph for greater fun and excitement.

Versatility is the key to the ResortBoard, as this product offering is perfect for ski resorts to use in the summer, as a go-between vehicle for sprawling resort complexes and industrial parks, for individuals looking for an environmentally-friendly local commuting option, even as a bike rental alternative.

Two New GolfBoard Showcase Courses Added

Oregon’s Black Butte Ranch, located outside of Sisters, and Colorado’s Raccoon Creek in Littleton have recently attained ‘Showcase Course’ status by expanding their GolfBoard fleets to 12 boards each.

As is often the case with GolfBoards, once the word got out about their availability at these courses, demand quickly started exceeding supply.

At Black Butte Ranch, Jeff Fought, Director of Golf, says the GolfBoards offer the best of both worlds for golfers. From the Black Butte Golf Blog: "The ease of traveling around the golf course is very much like riding in a golf cart. But because you don’t have to share a GolfBoard, golfers move through the course at a quicker pace, usually without ever noticing the faster pace. Most of all, though, riding a GolfBoard is a lot of fun. And that is what will keep golfers coming back to ride the GolfBoards.” Read the entire blog post HERE.  Call Black Butte Ranch at 866-901-2961 to arrange for your GolfBoarding tee times, or VISIT them on the web.

Colorado’s Raccoon Creek in Littleton is another great facility to add a dozen GolfBoards to their fleet after a successful trial program this year. The club found the GolfBoards were booked two weeks out and realized they needed more to satisfy the demand.

"They've been drawing a different, younger clientele that maybe hadn't come to Raccoon Creek before," said Rob Strong, an Assistant Pro at the course. "They speed up play, because players can go straight to their own ball instead of waiting for others in a golf cart."

GolfBoarding In New York: New Wave Of Golf Comes To Links At Union Vale

Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post recently had his eyes opened about the fun and safety of GolfBoarding by daily GolfBoard-user John Haines. Haines, 77, was once a member of an old-school private club in upstate New York. When they scoffed at getting some GolfBoards and had a season of cart-path only, he quit and joined as a weekday member at The Links at Union Vale.

Ask For GolfBoard At Your Favorite Club

David Barnett and Pat Perry of Augusta, Georgia, have been lifelong friends who love golf. As a matter of fact, they love golf so much they created Tour Junkies, a weekly podcast report about what is going on with the tour so you can 'Gain Your Edge' and improve your performance in PGA Daily Fantasy Sports.

David recently paid a visit to Bill Jeffrey, GolfBoard Sales Representative for the Augusta area, and filed this video report about how much fun the GolfBoard is. 'Call your favorite golf course and ask if they have the GolfBoard,' David urges. 'If they say no ask them, why not?'  Excellent question, David.

It's GolfBoard vs. Snowboard at Killington Resort

Surf the Earth Beside the Pacific Ocean at Monarch Beach Golf Links

Boasting a view of the Pacific Ocean from every hole, Monarch Beach Golf Links offers a unique opportunity to surf, but stay dry! Now you, too, can experience this Golf Magazine Gold Medal Winner from the safe and stable deck of a GolfBoard.

The Par 70, 6,600 yard Robert Trent Jones, Jr. layout blends the Scottish links tradition into this well-crafted routing of tight fairways and rolling greens, providing both challenge and enjoyment to golfers of all skill levels.

"I was skeptical about GolfBoard at first," said Eric Lohman, PGA General Manager. "But after riding the GolfBoard I was hooked. It takes a regular round of golf and elevates it to become a recreational experience unlike any other. Playing a round of golf at Monarch is special, but golfing and riding the board around the golf course brings a new perspective, increased enjoyment and additional memories."

Pure Golf and GolfBoarding at La Purisima

With the invaluable help of golf course architect Robert Muir Graves, Kenneth Hume Hunter, Jr. set out in 1986 to develop the finest pure test of golf he could imagine. It started with a great place - 309 acres of gently rolling, oak studded, ancient sand hills 30 miles north of Santa Barbara. Mr. Hunter developed it much like his other nationally acclaimed courses (Sandpiper Golf Course in Goleta and Hunter Ranch in Paso Robles), with no commercial development or housing surrounding the golf course land. His courses are built for pure golf.

And pure golf is what you get. A challenging test of skill and character, La Purisima rewards the bold and leaves the recently-hooked newcomer loving the game even more. It is beautiful in its naturally undulating landscape.

The critics wasted no time in chiming in. The course at La Purisima has twice received four and a half stars from readers of Golf Digest, including the 2004 poll and was ranked Best in County by Greenskeeper.org. "Outstanding, an excellent value.... A total hidden gem.... A nice setting with spectacular vistas and rolling hills."

GolfBoards will bring a new experience for golfers at La Purisima.  We are always offering new products and services to our customers to enhance their golfing experience.  Nestled in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, recently ranked by Golf Digest as the 33rd most difficult course in the USA, we now bring the PGA Show’s Best New Product of 2014 – the GolfBoard!

Chris Bellamy takes a spin on the GolfBoard

“Riding a wave of popularity, we’re excited to bring one of the hottest new products for golf to our course” says Chris Bellamy.  “GolfBoarding is fun for all ages: we are confident that our golfers, who take the board for a spin, will have smiles from ear to ear and will be eager to request a GolfBoard for their next tee time.”
